Rules & Regulations:

 

1. $200 Cash Entry

 

**CAPTAIN NOTICE – MAKE SURE YOU FILL OUT THE WAIVER FORM & SEND IN WITH YOUR ENTRY FORM, CREW NAMES & SIGNATURES CAN BE FILLED OUT AT THE CAPTAINS MEETING IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A TEAM TOGETHER WHEN SENDING IN YOUR EARLY ENTRY**

 

2. Tournament O-Fish-L’s will start boat checks at 5 am. Boats will be able to leave the harbor after they are checked to within ¼ mile of the Lexington Harbor entrance to await shotgun start. Make sure your Tournament Number is in your boat window or visible from all directions before you leave the harbor.

 

3. You must follow Michigan DNR fishing rules and regulations. Tournament rule: 9 rod max in the water. 1 slider per rod is permitted. All fish must be caught by hook and line.

 

4. Total Weight: ONLY 10 Fish Limit. (salmon / trout species only – 1 Lake Trout Permitted)

 

5. All boats must be back inside the harbor by 2:00 pm and notify O-Fish-L’s on channel 68. You will be disqualified if your vessel did not enter the harbor on time. Volunteers will be stationed at harbor entrance to enforce the 2pm deadline. (*deadline exceptions will be approved only by tournament officials for emergencies only). If you have no intention of returning to the docks please let tournament o-fish-l’s know by using channel 68 or call (810) 987-7722.

 

6. Once in the harbor, contact tournament O-Fish-L’s on (Channel 68) Give your vessel name to verify you are in the harbor. Your fish to be weighed must be in a closed cooler, (no tails hanging out) Tournament O-Fish-L’s will verify your catch total, seal and tag your cooler at your slip or launch ramp. It is the captain’s responsibility to ensure the cooler tag is filled out correctly with total amount of fish. No open bags of ice. If you have cubed ice make sure the bag is not opened. Loose ice will result in disqualification. Block is preferred. Proceed with your cooler after you have been checked and tapped to the destination discussed at the captains meeting. Weigh in will start at 3:00pm.

 

7. Boundaries: Lower Lake Huron, Southern Boundary – Blue Water Bridge.  Fishing permitted by boat only.

 

8. In case of bad weather, the tournament committee will keep you informed as to when or if the tournament will begin. A blow date will be announced if there cannot be at least 3 hours of tournament fishing. Once the tournament starts, it is at the discretion of the captain of his / her vessel if they want to return to the harbor earlier. If you cannot attend the blow date, your entry fee will be forfeited and donated to the Lexington Business Association.

 

9. Each captain & crew member needs to be accounted for on the waiver. Names and

signatures have to be complete. If the waiver has not been submitted, or submitted improperly, the captain will be notified by tournament control. You will have a chance to correct your waiver. You will not be able to participate in the event until it has been corrected. If you leave the dock without correcting your waiver and turning it in before the start of the tournament, you will forfeit your entry and not qualify for the event.
