Lake Huron Spring Fling

 

The annual Lake Huron Spring Fling has rapidly grown to one of the largest scale salmon / trout fishing tournaments on Lake Huron, with the highest payouts.

Entry will also be taken at the Captains meeting at The Lexington Village Theater, Lexington, MI.  April 21st @ 7pm. Entry will be closed at the conclusion of the Captain’s Meeting.

 

First Place: $10, 000  

 

Based on minimum of 50 boats*

 

2nd Place - $5,000

3rdPlace - $2,500

4th Place - $1,500

5th Place - $1,000

 

Captains must be present at both weigh-ins to be eligible for prizes.  Participants Receive FREE Dockage at Lexington Marina Friday and Saturday nights.  

 

ELIGIBILITY:

Any fishing team is eligible to enter the tournament. Fishing teams must be registered and entry received by ending of Captain’s meeting; April 21st, 2017.

 

TOURNAMENT BOUNDARIES:

Lower Lake Huron.  Southern Boundary – Blue Water Bridge. Fishing permitted by boat only.

 

TACKLE AND EQUIPMENT:

9 Rods max in the water. 1 slider per rod is permitted. All fish must be caught by hook and line.

 

BOAT INSPECTION:

All vessels are subject to inspection by the Committee and / or its agents at any time. All vessels will be inspected each morning prior to departure each day.

 

STARTING POINT: Shotgun Start within ¼ Mile of the Lexington Harbor Entrance.

 

WEIGH-IN:

All vessels must be within the mouth of the Lexington Marina no later than 2pm. Once vessel enters the Marina, they must proceed directly to their dock and wait for a tournament O’Fish-L to come and tape their cooler shut. Cooler shall contain a maximum of 10 fish. 10 salmon / trout total per day of which only 1 Lake Trout is permitted. Standings are determined by total weight for the two days, April 16th & 17th. It is your responsibility to notify the weigh master of any fish eligible for big fish prizes.

 

TOURNAMENT HEADQUARTERS:

The tournament headquarters will be located at The Lexington Marina.
